We had the pleasure of staying in Peter and Astrid’s apartment for a week and a half in July. What a wonderful apartment, and what a wonderful holiday we had with our children.

They thought of everything; it’s truly superb. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival.

Contact via email and app was also excellent. The double bed was comfortable, but unfortunately, the children found their beds too firm, but Astrid came up with a solution for that, and they slept soundly for the rest of the week.

If I had to mention anything, it would have been nice to have some ice packs to take to the beach in a cooler bag or box, for example. But we really can’t find anything negative to say; everything was simply fantastic!

If we ever return to Lagos, we would definitely book this apartment again.

A great apartment with all the comfort you need. Very spacious (including the outdoor areas) and wonderful beds. Location is quiet and a stone’s throw from all the shops and restaurants. The personal and warm welcome by Astrid and Jan Peter make it of great class.

Magnificent apartment with all the luxury you could wish for, beautiful views over the city and the Monchique mountains in the distance. Owners Jan Peter and Astrid do everything they can to make you feel comfortable with guidance and explanation about the house, which is super nice because they also live in Portugal. The town of Lagos is very cozy with many shops and restaurants and good street musicians. There’s enough to do for everyone, all within walking distance. The coastline with the beaches is beautiful to see, nice harbor and boulevard, good for a short walk. It’s great here, we were there for 14 days and were sorry we had to return home again. We will certainly come back!

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay at your Muralha apartment. We were warmly greeted by Astrid, who showed us around the apartment and answered all our questions about the appliances etc. The apartment itself was fantastic, a level of luxury we are not used to when travelling. It was so comfortable and had everything we could possibly need- and more! We loved sitting out on the balcony, looking out at the sea view as we ate our meals. We made good use of the fantastic barbecue as well. The whole family slept well, thanks to quality beds and bedding, and wonderful air con. Everything was top quality. We also found the underground car park space very useful for our hire car. We will certainly be back to this little gem- we love Lagos and the position of this apartment for walking to the old town is perfect.

A lovely and clean, nice apartment. There’s always shadow on one of the two large balconies. View over the town of Lagos and one of the beautiful beaches. Excellent location on easy walking distance from the brustling town centre of Lagos with its many restaurants and shops. The long promenade along the harbour has many stalls, very nice to walk to.

In short, highly recommended for a nice holiday! You have to be in reasonably good shape. Streets are with small cobblestones, so not always equal and there is quite a bit of rise / fall in the cozy streets of the village. The center and the Boulevard are completely flat. For the slightly older guests, we would especially recommend May or September. It’s a bit more quiet then and less hot.
